God is sovereign at all times, but we often realize it the most when going through difficult times. Looking at the life of Jacob, we can find some consoling reminders of how God can answer in the day of distress.

We need to pray expecting that God can answer prayer now, not just sometime in the future. While we do need to wait for an answer sometime, we also need to wrestle and be willing to withstand fatigue to receive an answer sooner.
